HELLO C1’s! Welcome to Athena and hope you had fun throughout Orientation!!

Orientation is now over and we (Council + FacComm) hope that you’ve taken this opportunity to experience the Hwa Chong experience and at the same time bond and make new friends!! Fret not, there is still POP and Dance Practices so you’ll still have plenty of time to make new memories with your classmates and friends :))

Thank you all for being so participative during CT Games and for cooperating with your senior FacComm!! We hope that this experience has helped your classes to bond as a class and that the two years ahead will be filled with collective and fun memories 🙂

Even though Athena did not win War Games, the FacComm are so so so so proud of the spirit that you guys displayed and hope that you all enjoyed War Games!! (We will always have the distinction of having the unofficial award of Most Intact Base!)

Special mention to 16S64, 16S6A and 15S7J for representing Athena in the SoDaChe Challenge! We are so proud of you :”) Hope you enjoyed the Faculty Dances of 2015 and 2016 performed by your seniors and we hope that you enjoyed SoDaChe!!!

POP

POP IS NEXT FRIDAY 19 FEB 2016 WE HOPE YOU ARE AS EXCITED AS WE ARE!!

A few things to note

1. Please make sure that you are familiar with all of your dance moves!! If you are unsure of anything, don’t hesitate to approach your Senior CT Rep or any Athena FC member 🙂 Most importantly, do attend all of the 2 remaining practices + 1 Tech Run. Here are the timings:

15 Feb Monday 1600-1800 Central Plaza (IMPT!!!!! TO GET USED TO YOUR LINES)

16 Feb Tuesday 1530-1730 JC Field

17 Feb Wednesday 1830-1900 Central Plaza (Tech Run) (IMPT TO GET USED TO YOUR LINES!!!)

2. Make sure your lines are straight at all times!!! Make sure you are directly behind the person in front of you as straight lines are very very very very important in POP!!!!!!

3. MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!!!! POP IS ABOUT HAVING FUN!!!

Who knows, we may even end up winning POP! All the Senior FC expects from you is to try your best and have fun! We have faith in you Junior Owls!!! Jiayou!!!!! Tutorials will be up soon on the Athena Faculty Youtube Channel so please stay tuned :))

LASTLY, while Faculty Pride is importantly, we should all remember that we are part of the larger community which is Hwa Chong!! 4 FACS 1 HWACH!!!!!!
