This post is an update about what happened at a certain Studio M Hotel along Clarke Quay, at a bar called Ta.Ke on the 4th of November, and how Athena went there and had our second faculty outing in the year 2010 🙂
Firstly we’d like to thank everyone for making it there on time, even though the hotel was situated quite a distance away from Clarke Quay MRT and everyone had to brave the 90 steps up (if you don’t know what we’re talking about, check out the how to get there video). Or for the lazy ones who decided to take (HAHAHA pun!!!) an easier route by simply taking a cab down to the place itself.
But moving on to the event itself. We started off the night with of course, dinner. From soup to potato salad to butter corn rice, we hope dinner left everyone full and satisfied and that everyone enjoyed the food because we sure did 😀

After everyone was full it was time for the programme to start!
Our emcees, Jordan and Hongwei, in their epic Batman and Joker costumes, introduced the first performance of the night – Alex, Jinjin and Patricia.

Following that exciting performance by Alex, Jinjin and Patricia, we started off with our first round of games! We hope everyone had fun with the Fear Factor and Pass the Parcel games 😀

While giving the participants time to digest all that we subjected them to go through, it was time for a performance aptly titled “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” by Izumi and Yangcheng! They put together a medley of three English songs and a Chinese song, which the audience thoroughly enjoyed.

Next up was a very very exciting performance by MAD specially put up for this occasion, which managed to get cheers from the crowd with their wonderful dance moves and music that really got the adrenaline pumping ;D

Smily and Darren followed the MAD dancers by belting out soulful renditions of “Drops of Jupiter” and “Realise”, enchanting all of us with their melodious voices 🙂

After this was our much-awaited Green King competition! Each class sent up a representative to compete for the coveted title of Green King.
Special mention goes to Rena of 10S68 for being the only girl to participate in the competition 😀

The last performance was by our very own faculty heads, Iris and Dennis, who sang a medley of songs including a special Athena song!

Last but not least, we gave out the prizes for the Best Dressed Class!! But that was not before we celebrated the birthday of our dearest faculty teacher, Ms Genevieve Tan 😀

And the Best Dressed Class went to 10S7K, whose entire class bought masks in the spirit of Halogreen!
So that marks the end of our second faculty outing, Halogreen. We’d like to thank everyone who helped out in one way or another:
The emcees: Jordan and Hongwei for doing such an awesome job and wearing such awesome costumes, braving the heat!
The performers: Alex, Patricia, Jinjin, Izumi, Yangcheng, Smily, Darren and all the dancers from MAD!
