Green Light District was a blast… from the past straight into the future!
It started out just like any other day. It was a Monday.
The Monday Blues Green kicked in as soon as the queue started to increase.
The programmes kicked off with Michelle Tee of 10S6G opening the night and serenading the crowd with her medley.
With our AWESOME faculty heads, WENSHAN and HUIYING, emceeing for the night (:
Soon after that was the awesome special couples of the night. Your faculty prince and princesses nominees:
From 10S60, we have Looi Qin En and Sheriel Chia :
From 10S62, we have Tay Chen Rong and Woo Shin Mann:
From 10S64, we have Calvin Lian and Janelle Seng:
From 10S66, we have Nicholas Lui and Amanda Tan:
From 10S68, we have Sim Zhi Jian and Khaw Xin Lin:
From 10S6A, we have Ng Zhi Tao and Yeap Si Rui:
From 10S6C, we have Nicholas Sim and Inez Theodora:
From 10S6E, we have Kester Kiong and Janice Yeo:
From 10S6G, we have Henry Wong and Vanesse Koh:
From 10S6H, we have Yeo Bing Lin and Lee Si Lei:

After each nominee couple took the spotlight with their catwalk, our own Athenian J1 beat-boxers, Kezheng from 10S6A and Yusong from 10S6E, brought a different flavour to beat-boxing in their own storytelling manner.
Then, it was food galore! Oh, and here comes the queue again ><
… and we finally come to the food …
For those who were queueing for the food and missed the fun, we had the bboys and hiphoppers taking their styles to the floor at the cypher.
After stomachs were filled, it was time to put our Faculty Prince and Princess nominees to the test with our very own Girvan Says!
Once Girvan has said his piece, it was the eliminated couple’s turn to speak. But when an opportunity is given and you don’t take it. It goes *poof*. Ask the nominee couple from 10S64, Calvin Lian and Janelle Seng, and they will tell you why.
Then, it was time to bring on a new model of the Boeing series, this time without the First Class, Business Class and Economic Class divider, instead we have Boeing Triple 7. With Yu Quan covering vocals, Sheng Hong and Choong Hsiong on guitar, Keith on Bass and Jerry playing the drums, playing their hearts out covering Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns N’ Roses and The Great Escape by Boys Like Girls.
After some heart-stopping guitar and drum solos, it is time to bring on some acoustic performances. Armed with only a guitar in hand, our very own Heng Yang from 09S6E took the stage performing his own rendition on famous ballads.
Then we pit our Faculty Prince and Princess nominees in the next challenge. Sorry about the delay and confusion caused at the start of this round. But we do hope the nominees had fun gobbling down our very special concoction 
This round then determined the remaining three pairs.
Then comes the traditional heavyweight performance by our very own homegrown talent. Our very own MΛD Hip-Hoppers:
The Athenian J1 ΜΛD Hip-Hoppers performing to a Master Mix of Elevator by Flo Rida featuring Timbaland, Party People by Nelly featuring Fergie, Church by T-Pain and Salt Shaker by Ying Yang Twins featuring Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz, or otherwise known as the awesome Faculty Dance 2010 Soundtrack. They took the Faculty Dance apart by performing their take on it, giving it their own flair and styles.
Succeeding their performance was their predecessors, our very own Athenian Dance I/Cs, part of the awesome trio of DaVanQi (pronounced daa-vaan-chi), Daryll and Girvan. With their arsenal of never-ending styles, they pop, they lock and they define dance in their own special way
After showcasing our talent Dance I/Cs, the 36th Song I/Cs, prettyboy Preston and classy Cassandra, accompanied by Lorraine on guitar, decided to showcase what they can do other than just singing the school song on the bridge every Wednesday. Bringing us ballads like 天天夜夜 by F.I.R, they proved that their vocals are not bounded by any physical means.
Soon after was the final showdown between the 3 Faculty Prince and Princess couples from the classes of 10S62, 10S66 and 10S68. They walked around, trying to garner votes from their friends and Athenians to support them in the bid to become the Faculty Prince and Princess of 2010.
Next up, we have another group of people waiting to show Athena what they can do after we have given them our votes. In a performance featuring the Presidents from Athena, consisting of Eryn Chan, Harrison Kho and Izumi Tan, bringing us a ballad which is a medley of The Man Who Can’t Be Moved by The Script and Viva La Vida by Coldplay.
In the very special collaboration performance, Eryn Chan covered Viva La Vida with the Koksters, consisting of Kok Seng the lead singer, Cavin on lead guitar, Andre on rhythm, Yun Hao on bass and the awesome overall-in-charge of the event, Damien Lim Jia Wei, on drums.
Right after that, the Koksters showed us their versatility of different genre of songs with Hysteria by MUSE.
Our winner was determined. Before the announcement was made, we invited our Faculty Prince and Princess of 2009, Kevin Ishak and Melvis Lim from 09S64 to crown their successors. The Faculty Prince and Princess of 2010 are Sim Zhi Jian and Khaw Xin Lin from 10S68. May the crowing ceremony begin…
As the event comes down to a close, our Faculty heads Wenshan and Huiying as well as their newly elected successors Iris and Dennis show us what Athena meant to them by bringing us a song and dance from High School Musical.
Wenshan and Huiying then took things into their own hands voices in this case. Delivering to us their rendition of 3 famous chart toppers, About You Now by Sugababes, Baby by Justin Bieber featuring Ludacris and The Only Exception by Paramore, in their ever so unique style, we have our very own Wenshan and Huiying
After that was the long awaited goodbye, but before we say our goodbyes, we had one last thing to do. The video montage showcasing our journey in Hwa Chong as Athena from 2009 til Green Light District was screened. Instead of tears and goodbyes, we celebrated the times we had. As the Faculty Committee, we have always wanted to bring back those memories from POP and we are really glad to say that all the memories came flooding back.
Honestly, this event will not be possible without some very special and important people.
At the top of our list sits our dearest faculty teachers: Ms Genevieve Tan, Mrs Joyce Tan and Mr Loo.
Right after them would be our cutest and most adorable, loving, suave, captivating, passionate, and *add-in-your-own-adjectives* faculty heads: Wenshan and Huiying.
Next up, we should of course thank the people at supperclub for hosting us at their location. Thanks to JJ and Jeremy.

We cannot forget our dear faculty prince and princess nominees for taking time out to rehearse and perfect your performance though none of you got to showcase your performance, a pair due to not taking the opportunity while others because you made it through to the next round too smoothly.

Last but not least, from the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank YOU not just for coming to supperclub to attend our event, but for enjoying yourselves and just basking in the atmosphere and enjoying the performances. For all the encouragement and support that YOU have given us, it was a night for us to remember. We hope YOU will remember it too.
