Dear All!
Term TWO is here, albeit with much frustration and protest.
For the C2s! Most of us have one paper left. Chemistry! All the best everybody.
And for our C1s! It’s term 2 already, and time has really passed since you first stepped into Hwa Chong yeah? For most of you guys CCA would have started, and for some of you who are running for council.. well you’re running for council! And all the best to you people.
Do render your support to those running! They’re gonna be the ones representing Athena on the school front, and two of them would eventually be our next Faculty Heads, something that i’m very sure everyone is extremely excited about. So do give those nominees a pat on the back when you see ‘em.
Anyways, an advice from the seniors: DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR STUDIES! This goes out to every single one of you C1s alright?! Yes it sounds like nagging (it is) but you all will understand when you’re in your second year.
Anyways C1s: hoodies will not be back so soon. Sorry for the wait guys. But we’ll try as much as possible to return them to you ASAP.

YO ATHENIANS!
Following the appeal for an ATHENIAN handphone theme, we now release the Athena Faculty Theme on SONY ERICSSON phones. (Actually we came up with this quite some time ago, we just haven’t had the chance to release it.)
The theme should work on C905, C702, C902, C905, G705, T700, W595, W705, W760, W902, W980, Z780 and similar ones.
Credits goes to Yongjie from 09s60 for creating the hp theme
AND YES, we have athena wallpapers and display pictures under our media section. It has been there for quite some time already; please go check it out if you haven’t seen them!

We will be uploading the entire show on youtube in parts soon For those who missed the chance to watch dramafeste or those who just want to relive those moments, keep a look out for them!
And for the C1s, do wish your seniors good luck and show your support for them. Ask them to go mug if you see them slacking around. “Block Test, very stress.”

CSM forms have all been distributed!
The preliminaries will be held between late March and May and the actual event will be on Wednesday, 20th May!
Do SIGN UP for as many events as possible! And just have FUN at it!
Calling all SPORTSMEN AND SPORTSWOMEN especially! DO YOUR PART FOR OUR FACULTY!
For those who have no sports background! DO NOT despair! Just play along with everyone and try it out! Participation points are given as long as you appear in your prelims! So let’s ALL do this together, as one.
And not forgetting the annual CHEERING COMPETITION held during the actual day. Let us be heard, from the ends of the world.
Oh yes, last but not least, if you’re interested in representing the faculty for the inter-faculty relay challenge, please look for WOONLUE from S68 or SHENGKUN from S6G, or you could approach our friendly neighbourhood faccom members. Thanks!

A simple “Hello” brought 24 people together and a simple “Goodbye” brought the hearts of a whole faculty as one, writing a whole new chapter in Athena’s story.
Only 2 words can sum up all that I want to say to all: “Thank You”.
Without the dedication of the cast, crew, script writer, the teachers and all who have come to support Athena in the Dramafeste, it would not have been possible for us to show others what Athena is truly made of. 6th March marked a whole new chapter for us in Dramafeste. For those who are unaware, Athena clinched 5 awards and 2 special mentions:
As the saying goes台上一分钟，台下十年功 (direct translation: a minute on stage means ten years of work off stage). Well, we didn’t have the luxury of 10 years, it was only 2 weeks (and the play was roughly half an hour the last time we timed)! But having only 2 weeks to stage a performance is no small feat. This required much dedication, time and effort from everyone. And for this, I am sincerely grateful to the cast for staying in school till late for all rehearsals every day, the crew led by Linus and E-Hui for coming down to make the stunning props and Bob, our scriptwriter, for writing us this award winning script in like 5 days since we added in more characters like 2 weeks before the actual performance. I know everyone has been very busy, skipping training and CCA as well as braving the flu bug and cold virus to come down for rehearsals and prop making sessions. What could I have done without you all?!
I thank you once again for making my dream—our dream, come true, allowing Athena to shine in Dramafeste, in a way that seemed unimaginable.
This marks the start of a brand new chapter for Athena and this story will be continued by you…
